I think that the child LOVES strawberries. Good thing I don't love that shirt.

My Elli wasn't feeling so good, so I tried to give her some plain pedialite, which I later tasted and tastes like a mouth full of ocean water. Ewww. She kept on shaking her head no, so I decided to see if she would like some juice and did the same thing, and it was so funny to me I just had to film her. After rejecting the juice I finally gave her some water, to which she then took a nice long refreshing drink.

So I guess I have the haircutting bug. Keeps getting shorter and shorter. My new do isn't exactly what I wanted, but I still like it. Just takes some getting used to.

1-Sleep in. Ya RIGHT! On my list but not in the least a reality. We like to get up around 6 am...every single day!

5- I paralyzed a mouse. Back in the day when my family was building our house, we lived in a horrible little trailer, that had a little mouse problem. It was dark and I was getting out of bed to go to the bathroom or something, when all of the sudden there was a odd squishing under my foot, followed by a painful squeaking, followed by my terrified scream. Panic ensued to find out what was the matter. Upon realizing that I had stepped directly on a mouse, that was now in fact twitching paralysed on the ground, my family was all laughing. I was horrified that I had paralysed the poor mouse, but even more horrified that I had stepped on a mouse at all. It still gives me chills to think about it. EEEWWWW. By the way, my dad put the little mouse out of his misery, if anyone was wondering.

Yea! The wind was only blowing a mild 15 mph. And as promised, when we had a day that the wind stopped (or was tolerable), the park would be our top priority.

a love of books...and not always of little sisters

While enjoying an afternoon of story time, we had a slight disaster.

Poor Trinity's heart was practically broken. "Mommy I don't like it when she rips my books!" (I don't think it helped the situation that me and Alex were trying not laugh. Notice that her other hand coming up to cover her face from the camera. I'm so mean. Hehe.)

All Better. Mommy saves the day!

Eliana is fascinated with books and loves to feel the pages and then taste them. We also has another incident this week where Elli ate half a page out of Trin's, Olivia Helps with Christmas book, which made Trinity say, "She's just a pinche sister, huh." (pinche is a spanish curse word) I guess I better be careful what words I teach my children. oops.:)

Glad to be a mommy:)

Honestly, being a mother is the best and most important thing that I have ever done. Nothing compares, or ever could. Being a mother filled the void I felt for so long and tried to fill with things that never brought true happiness. It scares me to think of what I might be doing or where I might be buried if I hadn't been blessed with my girls. I have found a new meaning in life and want to live my life better and stronger just to be a good mother to my kids. I love them so much sometimes my heart just aches with it. I am terrified that anything bad might ever happen to them, but I know it's part of life and I want to be there to help them through it. I'm so glad that I have found the capacity to love so much. I love the everyday learning experiences, the smiles, laughs, the hugs, and cuddles. I love to be the one that can make it all better, the designated tear wiper. I love that Trinity loves me so much and worries that "Mommy's missing me" and "I need to be home to cuddle mommy" when she goes to the movies with grandma :). I love that Elli is crawling (and while I hoped it would help her entertain herself better) crawls to wherever I am whining, "mum mum" at me.

My heart is so full, and I'm glad that mother's have a special day designated just for them because I know there are so many wonderful mothers out there who love their children just as much as I do. I know that I have one and I love her very much. I hope that I can love as much as she does.

Way to go all you moms out there!

a ray of sunshine on my cloudy day

Today was one of those days that takes to long to come to an end. Just a mixture of whining children, unappreciative husband, endless messes, and a dash of PMS. On days like this it is nice to see just a glimmer of my efforts shine through. Today my little ray of light was my sweet little Trinity. She was so sweetly tucking in a few of her many dolls/stuffed animals into a homemade little bed she had so carefully erected in the family room. As she individually arranged each in her place she kissed them so softly and whispered, "I love you, stay asleep, k." Just like I do.

So, I am glad that even on bad days, when mommy yells a little more, She remembers the nice things I do and say. Although we have had our share of days when dolls get put in timeout and scolded, such as, "you're just a brat" and "listen to me!" and so on.

BATH TIME

Today was also the first day of co-bathing. Hmmm. They sure looked cute, but I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. I do like that it allows me to save a little time, but I am a germ-a-phobe, and I know that Trinity has quit peeing the tub, but Elli hasn't. Also Elli still sucks the water out of the wash cloth. EEWWW! Little girls get very dirty playing outside all day. Oh well, I guess it just makes their immunities stronger :)

Always up to something

Eliana was asleep. Trinity was playing contentedly. Ahh, the perfect time for me for me to rest. Then it occured to me that Trin had been doing something in the bathroom for a while now. As my motherly intuition kicked in, I forced myself from couch to investigate. I walk to the bathroom only to see every ponytail/rubberband we own scattered across the bathroom.
(maybe a slight exageration but there was a big pile on the floor)













Exasperatedly, I asked her what she is doing, knowing only to well I'm the designated person to pick up the mess. She simply replied. "I'm doing Olivias Ears."

Cute!


Well, I then informed her that when she was done she needed to make sure all the ponies were picked up and put away, and much to my surprise and delight, she actually did it with only being asked that ONE time! I love that my children never cease to amaze me.

I love SPRING!

Spring(def): a time or season of growth or development. Spring is such a profound season with so much meaning. I love all the new flowers that come up, and especially the trees that blossom!

Alex doesn't usually buy me flowers from the store, he feels it is a waste of money, although I have a very different opinion on the matter, I love his version of getting me flowers. The many flowers he plants for me!

Put em to work!

Of course to a child cleaning is never any fun unless it involves water, luckily Trinity was satisfied with a wet rag. If you didn't know, Trinity is OBSESSED with anything Princess, which might come in handy for me because there are a few Disney Princesses that like to clean :). Cinderella is in her top 3, and so we weren't surprised to find her not cleaning up her own things that are strewn across our house, but singing "Sing Sweet Nightingale" at the top of her lungs with rag in hand giving some much needed attention to the kitchen floor.

Eveyone else is doing it, so why not me.

Well here it goes, one more thing to consume my time. Years ago I used to faithfully keep a journal and I miss it. Hopefully by posting special moments I will be able to remember occasions that would most likely slip from my mind. Also People can see whats going on in my life without just having me spy on theirs:) But most importantly, here is another way to show off my two most favorite people in the world, my beautiful daughters, who are my reason for living.
