Meet Hamilton Cruz Nunez!

Our sweet little Cruz came into this world on Sunday, August 22, 2010.  He was 7 lbs 1 oz and 20 inches long.  Everything went good and we are happily home!  I feel so blessed that he is healthy and so perfect!  He was SO worth it!

Maybe in the next couple of days I'll write a more informative post.  Right now that seems like too much work ;)

I was going to put a little more effort into this post, but my adrenaline is pumping and I'm having a hard time focusing. We did Elli's party 2 weeks early so that 1: I'd feel up to doing it, 2: I really wanted to have the baby early. Turns out I get to have him early! I'm being induced at 7:30 tomorrow (Sunday) morning!!!! That's why my adrenaline is going. I hope I can sleep tonight, although I'm not really counting it.

Stay tuned for there will be pictures up of him hopefully early in the week!!

TRIN'S FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!

My Trinity has been beyond excited to start school, and that day finally came! She had her outfit all laid out the morning before and everything all set to go in her back pack.

I figured that, being 8 1/2 months pregnant, this day would be extremely emotional for me. To my surprise it wasn't. I kinda feel a little guilty that I didn't even tear up as I walked Trin to her classroom and said goodbye. When I got to the car I thought maybe then I would cry. Nope. I almost felt like Cameron Diaz in 'The Holiday' in the scene where she's broken up with her BF and tries to make herself cry-- no tears came. The whole school thing just seemed kinda normal.

Elli and I went to the grocery store after we dropped Trin off. I love shopping with only 1 kid! After the store and every 10 minutes, Elli would ask, "Can we go get Trin now?" She feels a little left behind I think. But we had fun making rice crispy treats together to have for Trin as a "Welcome Home From Your First Day" treat. I'm really looking forward to getting some quality mommy and Elli time. Even if it only may be for a couple weeks, then she'll have to share me with her brother. :)

Trin Gushed about her first day! She has one of her good friends in her class, which hopefully doesn't mean they'll get into trouble together. They both are little chatterboxes! Trin told me a conversation that they had at school:
Desi: "We should stay here forever!"
Trin: "I don't think your mom would like that, let's just come back tomorrow!"

I can't believe that my first baby is already old enough to go to school! But I guess it's a good thing because she was so ready and she's needs something constructive to do everyday. I know she's gonna love every second!
