I figured that, being 8 1/2 months pregnant, this day would be extremely emotional for me. To my surprise it wasn't. I kinda feel a little guilty that I didn't even tear up as I walked Trin to her classroom and said goodbye. When I got to the car I thought maybe then I would cry. Nope. I almost felt like Cameron Diaz in 'The Holiday' in the scene where she's broken up with her BF and tries to make herself cry-- no tears came. The whole school thing just seemed kinda normal.
Elli and I went to the grocery store after we dropped Trin off. I love shopping with only 1 kid! After the store and every 10 minutes, Elli would ask, "Can we go get Trin now?" She feels a little left behind I think. But we had fun making rice crispy treats together to have for Trin as a "Welcome Home From Your First Day" treat. I'm really looking forward to getting some quality mommy and Elli time. Even if it only may be for a couple weeks, then she'll have to share me with her brother. :)
Trin Gushed about her first day! She has one of her good friends in her class, which hopefully doesn't mean they'll get into trouble together. They both are little chatterboxes! Trin told me a conversation that they had at school:
Desi: "We should stay here forever!"
Trin: "I don't think your mom would like that, let's just come back tomorrow!"

Trin looks so big, I love the picture of the girls holding hands.
She is so pretty! I'm glad she was so excited to go to Kindergarten! Jacob was excited too--I am a bit emotional though LOL.
Oh, and I spy Saydie in that last pic too LOL
I love it!!! And what sound advise to give Desi!Good luck with tears, maybe post baby you'll be sad.
oh my gosh, when I was pregnant with Ella I could NOT get emotional over ANYTHING! It was exactly like the Holiday and I hate it! hehe.
I am still so amazed that you have a baby old enough for school, I still think we are in high school sometimes ;)
I'm so glad she did so well, and loved it that much =)
p.s. Hamilton Cruz? I LOVE IT! I can't wait to see him!
