Last Wednesday we woke up to...

Snow!!!

The first of the season, and it was a good one!

Before the girls got dressed I went out to take some pictures and enjoy all this peacful beauty. I love snow on trees, it's so beautiful!

Trin in the snow!!! Poor girl was just in sweat pants. Luckily, since then I have found a "new" pair at a thrift store so that she wont freeze her little buns off next time it snows.
Elli in the snow!!! I love the one where Trin is moving Elli's arm to show her what needs to be done to make a snow angel. Trin is an expert after all, and has years of experience.

This was one my favorites, right as the sun was coming up...

Happy Halloween..

Another Halloween come and gone. This year the Nunez girls were pirates! We tried to get daddy to be one too, but he had a scary mask and wanted to wear that, so he had my mom and I make him a black cloak to go with it. Too bad we forgot to get a picture of him..

Trin was, of course, a PINK pirate! Her costume was easy, an old fairy dress of Matti's, that, paired with a vest, belt and sword looked pirate! The only part of her costume I made was her vest out of one of my old shirts that got cut off after I was in a car accident, and I could never throw it away cuz I liked it so much.

I made Elli's vest and skirt (with my mom's advise close by, she also helped me make up a pattern for the vest), and I do have to say I am getting a little better at the whole sewing thing! Next year our costumes will be amazing!

Me and my little pirates! ARRGGG!

Getting ready for the costume parade at our ward's "trunk or treat".

My friends (cousins) put on a little Halloween party for the kids this year. We did it the Wednesday before, so it was extra fun to have an extra day to be all dressed up. Enjoy a few pictures of our par-tay.

Pumpkin Patch!

First we did the corn maze!  It was a lot of fun and we had to find all the questions that were posted around and answer them on a little sheet of paper that we got for a chance to win a GIANT pumpkin.   We didn't do that great.  They were really tricky questions.  Did you know that Americans eat 900% more brocolli than they did 20 years ago???  Ya, we didn't either.
(the picture in the upper left is my favorite! isn't she gorgeous?!)

Then we got to go and pick our pumpkins.  The girls each got a string that was a certain length to determine how big of a pumpkin they got to pick.  We found a great pumpkin that was taller than is was skinny and the string fit around the middle!  But there was a catch to the whole string thing, the string had to be able to go around the pumkins middle and also top to bottom, so we had to put that one back :(
But we still ended up with really great pumpkins and couple of really cute little decorative ones too!

The girls all wanted to ride in the wheel barrow.  It lasted just long enough to take a couple of pictures.  That's my cousin Samantha pushing my girls and her two girls, Elyse and Hailey.

Some of me and my girlies.  I couldn't decide which one I liked best, so I put them all.

PICTURE TIME!!
I think Trinity has a future in modeling.  She cracks me up at how she always has to pose for the camera.  Elli had had enough by the time we were done, as you can see from the one of her crying.

I was a fun morning!!  Thanks for inviting us Jes!

If he ever finds out, I'm in BIG trouble

Trinity dressed Alex all up and we all thought he looked so pretty that I just had to take a picture.  He let me take the picture, on one condition, that I would never post it.

But I just couldn't resist. :)

potty accomplished

At the begining of the summer I decided that I was Elli was ready to retire from diapers. She was giving me all the signs of being ready, such as; going off to place where she could be alone to poop, and CONSTANTLY taking her diaper OFF.

At the begining, and throughout the entire summer, Elli decided that she wasn't ready for such a retirement. She would go in the potty about once a week, but whenever she felt like it. The child is stubborn. And she also has a cast iron bladder-- she can hold it for hours!

Just over a week ago we, my mom and I, decided to try again. So off I sent Elli to spend the afternoon with my mom to practice, practice, practice. This is what went down. My mom had taken her many times to try and go, but she just held it and held it. Right at the time my mom's bread was ready to come out of the oven, Elli got a desperate look on her face and said, " I need go potty!" So my mom rushed her to the bathroom and discovered that they made it too late.  #1 and #2.  In the hurry to pull her pants down and put her on the toliet, #2 got flung from the panties and onto the wall. Glad I wasn't there. Thanks mom ;).  Luckily the bread was only a shade too dark and still wonderful.

So, ever since that slightly tramatic day, Elli has been going in the big potty! YEAH! She is doing wonderful and has only had a few accidents and she only wears a diaper at night. I love just using 1 diaper a day-- it's so affordable.

My baby is no longer a baby. I just might have to do something about that....
