Subliminal messages in Disney Movies?

Well maybe not. But in a way, Disney movies can be blamed for both of my daughter’s swearing recently.

The first example of bad language is Eliana. She loves Tinker Bell. But the way she says it is, “Binka Hell.” Almost sounds like Brink of Hell.

Then, yesterday, Trinity came walking down the stairs at my mom’s house holding a little white dog with black spots, and enthusiastically said to Kalli,

“Look Kalli, its 101 Damnation's!”

Gave us a good laugh. Even after we corrected her she still didn't get it right. (have my mom say Massachusetts for you, mis-enunciation must be hereditary)

Subliminal messages or not, I feel I've been warned.

sweet words

While jumping and being silly together on the trampoline this afternoon, Trinity turned to me and with the sweetest look on her face said:

"You are the best Mommy EVER!"

She also told me that when I was tucking her into bed.
She made my day. She makes my life.

This girl also makes my life :)

love Love LOVE her curls.

Flower Fun

This is how we spent a Sunday afternoon.

Pretty as little flower.

Did you know flowers like to spin?
One for Aunt Kalli's hair.

Eliana is serious about smelling this flower.

I love her eyes!

Her new trick Aunt Kalli taught her.

Kalli showed us all how to do it.

Pretty girl.

Tasty!

Yes. We know we're sexy!

For her birthday.

I've been meaning to do this post for the past couple of weeks. For some reason I have been lacking in blogging motivation. I'll try and do better. I like remembering the little things :)

Anyone who knows Trinity knows that she is LOVES the "The Wizard of OZ" almost more than anything else. My Mother-in-law found Trinity a Dorothy dress up/costume at a yard sale, and Trinity loved it! Unfortunately, the dress was about 2 sizes to small. So after a few days of Trin wearing the dress I took matters into my own hands.

Literally.

I decided that I would SEW one for her so she could have it for her birthday!

I all went pretty smoothly, but there is no way that I could have done it if my mom wasn't there to ask questions to every five minutes.

She loved it!

In our house, the quality of a dress is determined by how well the dress spins!

She was so excited she had to call Grandma and tell her all about her new dress.

With her birthday money she even got a really fancy "Dorothy" barbie dolls that sings a part of Over the Rainbow and everything.

I have only made a few meager attempts with a sewing machine. And this, I'm hoping is the beginning of a life long relationship with sewing. :)

So... I can sew!

Trinity turned 4!!!!

This year the theme for Trinity's birthday was Olivia. Olivia is a spunky little pig, too smart for her own good.... remind you of anyone? Yes, our Trin. There wasn't any Olivia party supplies online, so I had to improvise and spray paint red polk-a-dots on the white balloons and white table cloth.
We did Trin's hair in 2 buns (pig ears). She had a wonderful day and of course, got tons and tons of presents. I later told her that she is pretty spoiled. She just smiled and said, "I know. I love getting presents!"
And for the best present of all........

A BIKE! Her Nana loves to spoil her! :)
Everyone having a blast with the pinata and ALL the candy!

Kalli made Trinity's wonderful birthday cake. It was almost to pretty to eat, but we couldn't hardly stop eating once we started, cuz it was so tasty. Kalli even made the little Olivia and Trinity figurine to go on the cake. Kalli is an awesome aunt! (Trinity's favorite) shhh.

Trying out her new wheels with her daddy.

We sure love our vibrant 4 year old!
