What a PARTY!!

Luckily it stopped raining so Trinity could have her party! Although it was a little colder than we hoped for, it was just nice enough to spend a little time outdoors. This year our theme was BALLERINA--I think we might have a dancer on our hands someday. :) Birthday party were always a big deal for Alex when he was growing up, so he expects nothing less for his own girls. The parties seem like they are gonna keep getting bigger and bigger each year. *Sigh* I guess it's easy for him because I am the one doing all the planning and carrying out the brunt of the details, although He did do a lot of other stuff. His time was spent building an AWESOME swing set/playground for her. It was good to have cuz all the kids loved it and it kept them entertained. It's not finished yet and I will post a picture of the finished product when that time comes.

We had face painting! I made sure to practice a bunch of really simple designs and have them on display so I didn't get any crazy requests and have to disappoint.

The highlight of the party, besides cake and ice cream, was the pinata! Birthday girl got to go first. After her first few hits, she started crying and saying, "I can't do it!" I guess she thought that she was supposed to break it.

Everything turned out good after explaining to her that it takes a while for the pinata to break, so that everyone can get a turn. I think she had more fun watching everyone else hit, or in some cases beat the crap out of, the lovely ballerina slipper pinata. Luckily our Knight, Holden brought along his sword to take a few chops at it.

It was a race to see who pick up the most candy.

Later as the party died down a little, Trinity went on to cover a few people, but mostly Summer with some of the 400+ stickers that Aunt Matti was so kind give her. Thanks a lot Matti! I hope you're realize that she loves to stick stickers on ANYTHING that holds still long enough! :)Anyways, after decorating, we played a few rounds of "pin the slipper on the ballerina"

Well it was a huge success and we all had a wonderful time. Trinity got all kinds of fabulous things that she loves. Hopefully tomorrow I will feel like organizing all the new stuff to fit in with the old stuff so that it's not decorating my house-- although even after something had it's home it always managed to come out and find a place on my floors-- but that's the way it goes.

And it's a good thing it's summer vacation, that way Matti will be able to spend her summer removing stickers from unwanted places:) ha ha
