What Elli said when given a biscuit that had rosemary on top..
"It has Christmas tree on it!"
She then preceded to brush it all off, then ate it.

keepin busy..
lots of fabric circles

and lots of buttons

makes lots of these!

This is not even half of it. I have 3 different fabric flower styles,
1: the yoyo (pictured above)
2: the rosette (they look more sophisticated to me, but I love and wear them all!)

3: lace and satin flowers.

They are being sold at Jill's Chic Retreat in Snowflake at great prices! Headbands(most of them are attached to the headband with velcro so that it can be taken off and worn on a beaney) and also on clips. Check em out, and tell your friends!

a recipie too yummy not to share
Kalli gave me this recipe and it is SO DELICIOUS, and not only that, it's extremely healthy!! I've made it twice and my girls even really like it, so it is kid friendly.
Sweet Potato Chipotle Chili
1 medium onion- diced
1 red bell pepper- diced
2 cloves garlic- diced (I just used the pre-diced stuff in the jar, but fresh is good too)
1 jalapeno- diced (optional) I have never made it with the jalapeno to keep it a little more on the mild side..
Saute in Olive Oil til tender.
once tender add:
1 1/2 t cumin and
1/2 t mild chili powder
let the spices absorb a little then add
1 1/2 lbs of sweet potato that's been peeled and chopped
saute 1 min then add
2 diced tomatoes
cover potatoes with water 3+ cups
add 1 bunch of fresh cilantro- chopped
and 2 cans drained kidney beans (I usually rinse my kidney beans cuz there's usually a bunch of thick gunk at the bottom)
Last add 1 tsp Chipotle pepper. The recipe call for chipotle flakes, but I used the powder and it worked great. If you prefer more mild or your children I would just put in a 1/4 tsp. That's all I put in and it gave it good flavor without being spicy and my girls liked it. Then Alex and I just sprinkled a little extra in our bowls to give it more bite.
Bring to a boil and let simmer on a low heat until the potatos are tender.
ENJOY!
I forgot to take a pic when it was fresh, so this is the next day when it cold and I was going to warm it for lunch, it looks way prettier hot off the stove. :)

no mom's allowed
Apparently I made Trinity pretty mad at me yesterday, because this morning I noticed this hanging on her bedroom door.

But I think somewhere in her heart she has love for me, because this was written on the other side of the paper. I would feel really bad if this is what she was writing for me and I yelled at her or something and that was the deciding factor of what was written on the other side...
