all a girl needs is...

a best friend-- partner in crime,

SHOES! (thanks mom);)

someone to take care of,

silly time,

olives, (this face totally reminds me of Mr. Burns, haha!) "excellent!"

and a cozy place to read a good book!

Elli is in love with "BUH-IES" right now-- just in time for Easter:)

Spingtime in Taylor

Can you believe that only last week I was laying in the sun watching my children play in short sleeves on a perfect 72 degree day?!

Can you also believe that it snowed yesterday and that perfect 72 has turned into a chilly high of 38?!
Well believe it, because that sums up springtime in Taylor! Oh, and don't forget the WIND.

Here is where I am wishing that I had an amazing camera... And I will... someday...

March.

So almost a month has passed by without me taking the time to preserve sweet memories. This in part is because I have really been trying to limit my time on-line, but I also think it is important to document little things from life, so I am going to try and keep up again. Here's a little of whats been going on!

My beautiful daffodils bloomed!

...only to be ravaged into pitiful stems by 60 MPH winds yesterday :(

Alex has been keeping busy with preparations for our garden. He has already starting getting 'wall-o-water' 's up with some squash, and we've planted 2 beds of potatoes, along with some spinach, leeks, green beans, Brussel sprouts, and radishes. yummy.

Nana (Alex's mom) came for a visit.

Grandma got Trinity her "VERY OWN SCRIPTURE BAG" to take to church. We had a fun time decorating it :)Her cute little flower girl. Complete with long eye lashes and freckles like one of her best buds, Aunt Kalli. I helped her write her name fancy on the other side.Trinity continues to love all things princessy and/or fancy.

We found her a beautiful Easter dress that she modeled for us, and wishes I would let her wear everyday.

Eliana continues never to leave a dull moment, climbing on top of the entertainment center, table, dressers and whatever else looks good and dangerous. I constantly hear Trin yell, "MOM ELLI'S IN TROUBLE." from the next room, or Elli's voice, "Down. Down." She also has learned how to take of most pieces of clothing. At least it's almost warm.
The picture of her sleeping is my favorite one. :)

Trin needed a fun day so I had a few mom friends and their kiddos over for a St. Patrick's Day lunch. We ate pot o' gold soup and green veggies, painted rainbows, frosted and then ate WAY to many cookies. It was an absolutely perfect day outside so we let the kids run wild while us moms relaxed(chased around children) while getting an early start on our summer tans.

And my beautiful tulips decided to brave the wind and start blooming yesterday.

random things my little girls do..

Make each other laugh:
They are each others best friend. They always want to be wherever the other is, or do what the other is doing, and both have ALL of mommy's attention to themselves. :)

Dance:
Whoever knows Trinity knows that she loves ballerinas, dancing, and dressing up very much. Eliana also has a passions for "TUU-TUU" 's
Dancing a twirling is a common activity in our home. Either the girls turn the keyboard, with it's automatic songs, or request children's songs to be played from my computer.

Eat junk:Somehow Eliana talked her father into giving her a pudding outside the confines of her highchair (amazing how quick both of my girls caught on to getting daddy to say yes to anything they know mommy would say no too). Lucky for me, since I'm usually the only person who cleans, the mess was limited just to her cute little face.

Be Creative:
Trinity found some old chalk outside and decided to draw a family portrait. She has been drawing lots of people lately and getting better and better at it. I love how she always makes sure that everyone is smiling. :)

Also, I never realized what large heads we all have.

Spring Fever

Although I'm grateful for for pretty mild winter, I am grateful it is almost over! Today the nasty wind took the day off and the sun was bright and warm making a BEAUTIFUL day. I even got extra outside time after I locked myself out of the house and had to walk to my mom's house to get a spare key. 2 miles. (I had already gone on a 2 mile run earlier in the day, woo whoo 4 miles total! My legs are a little tired)

Both of my girls LOVE being outside almost better than anything, so we had lots of fun playing in the dirt for a couple hours.
Who'd have thought playing in the dirt could be done so daintily.

Trin is holding an old sunflower stem and insisted that we "STICK FIGHT!" She loved that she won every time by breaking my stems that were much skinnier than her own portly stem she found.

Basking in the sunshine..

The girls decided that they would help daddy turn the soil in our garden. Alex has been working on making new garden beds out of cinder blocks. :) I Can't wait for fresh veggies!

Amazingly we already have some onions sprouting out. All of our daffodils and tulips greens are starting to emerge, I just forgot to a picture of those but I will for sure as soon as they start blooming!

Eliana was completely content digging and digging..

Trin is getting very excited to help plant and weed. I guess we'll see about the weeding.. Alex let her help weed a couple times last year and she would randomly get a little carried away and pull whole squash or tomato plants out.

Eliana let me know that is was time to go inside and have lunch after she apparently got so hungry she though she'd give a mouthful of dirt a try. She didn't like it much, and I guess she was mad at me for neglecting to feed her as you can see by the finger she is showing me. Tatton will be proud of this one. haha.

Lovely Love..

Holidays just keep getting more and more fun every year especially because of how enthusiastic Trinity gets. She could hardly wait the past couple of weeks for Valentine's to finally get here. She was so dang sweet the whole day giving me extra hugs and kisses (of which she always gives me tons) and at least once and hour, or half hour, excitedly saying "HAPPY VALENTINE'S MOM!!"
When I tucked her at the end of the day she whispered, "Mom, I need to tell you something." So I asked her what, and she wrapped her arms so tight around my neck and said one more time, "Happy Valentine's Mommy, I love you."

Yes, she makes my heart very happy.

On Friday my good friend Ashley invited me and my girls over for a Valentine's Day party. She has a cute little girl (Madison) a few months younger than Eliana and a little brother (Jefferson) that is 2 years older than Trin and they love playing (making messes) together.

We sure were lookin cool on our way out!

It was a blast and we had so much fun making crowns for the girls and a visor for Jeff. :)

Busy making our crowns with the coolest sparkly princess stickers..

Madison was so happy with her cheese and was all smiles until I took her picture. haha
Our sweet little one-year-olds serenaded us with banging, I mean delicate playing on the piano.

Elli and Madison are so funny together. They are both at the age where they will hit someone that gets in their face, but as soon as they realize we noticed them hitting they grab each other and hug and kiss. This age is hilarious.

My love got beautiful red tulips for all 3 of his girls for Valentine's Day :)
I love getting flowers that can be inside and Alex loves flowers that are planted outside, so we both win this way because when the flowers are tired we can replant the bulbs outside! :)

Beautiful February days...

All of us playing outside in the girls "Princess Castle". It was SO nice outside, we didn't even need coats! It makes me grateful that we get a few nice days before the wind starts.

Trinity loving swinging.

Eliana loving swinging.

I loved all of the ones with the girls together on the tire swing. And I realized when I would say, "look at mommy" they thought I meant, "look at the really cool dirt!" :)

Can't wait until tomorrow because it's supposed to be 65 wonderful degrees!!! Hooray! I am going to take the girls for a picnic at the park. Whoever wants to join to join is welcome. Freeman park, 11:30. Let me know:)
